Day 81, October 31. We've descended a little from the high elevations and have finally made it to a more comfortable town called Xiangcheng. Like the other western Sichuan towns we've been to, this one is also really nice with a great monastery. We talked in Chinese for over an hour with some monks about everything from how much money we make, to Christian prayers. Afterwards, we walked down the valley to some lively farming fields. There were a lot of people out farming, including this lady. This was the best time I've ever had with farmers- usually they are too busy to be bothered with us tourists, but the Xiangcheng farmers were quite interested in us.
