Chiang Kai Shek Memorial- of course, this was made during his lifetime. It's a huge open courtyard with mammoth buildings.
The National Palace Museum. We spent a full day here, and Mark has even gone back for a second round since then.
The museum has a peaceful garden area with lots of Koi and gazebos.
